Making owning your first home more affordable; those using shared ownership to buy their first home, can actually save money every month in comparison to what they would be spending on rent.

 

If you put down a 10-15% deposit, you’ll only need a mortgage for the remaining amount of the share you are buying. This  depends on the property and your circumstances. You will then pay rent on the remaining percentage of the property, with the option through staircasing to buy more shares over time, until you own 100% of the property.
